Now that things are winding down with Dragon Age Inquisition, Bioware is turning their focus to the next installment in the Mass Effect franchise.
There is still no real title, no real concept has been released. All Bioware has said is currently they want to focus on making things right with Dagon Age fans and that Mass Effect 4 will not involve Shepard. They want it to have its own story.
They could accomplish this by focusing on te other races, or even doing a linear story focusng on just one planet during the events of any of the Mass Effects.
Then I wonder how many new species can they introduce? If anything is concurrent with the Mass Effect events, we supposedly have seen all the races, even a Prothean. If its post ME3, and syntesis was chose, that would be a perfect set up.....but then that still leaves a huge question......what happened to Shepard. My bad ass fem Shep was laying in a heap of rubble...but breathing...last I saw of her. They didn't put my name on the deceased board. I'd like to know if she made it to the old hero's home.
By trying to calm speculation, Bioware has done the opposite. The better come bigba E3....but I get feels that it will only be about DA:Inquisition.
Currently, Powerstar Golf is free.....click here to download it. If in the future you decide to get the regular version for 19.99 (because free can't just be free with xbone) all you accumulate will go forth with you. I'm not a huge golf fan, but I know somewhere, someone is most pleased with this news.
For 5 years now, rumours have persisted about a portable Xbox device. What is the hold up? Nintendo has mastered the art of handheld consoles. Playstation has thrown their hat in. Sega even had a go. Xbox..?...scared maybe? It can't be that bad. Sometimes you just want to play Madden on the go...on long car rides, waiting at the dr or when you're just too lazy to get up and turn your console on.
Microsoft did apply for patents that would have xbox controls on tablets and such, but that could also bevfor the rumoured Xbox mini. In either case, etween smartglass and a portable syst e m, Microsoft is leaving a lot of ground uncovered and untouched.
Atari wants back into the market. But probably not how you think. We remember centipede and the other classic games, but gaming has majorly evolved. Is there a place for Atari? New CEO, Frederic Chesnais, thinks so. He wants to remind everyone that Atari does more than make software. He isn't thinking new console though. One idea he tossed out was a jacket with the built in ability to charge your phone or other device. His other idea- a watch..a gamified watch he called it. Would it sell? Possibly. He recently bought a large share of the company that he has been involved with for years. He says they are not going tomjust make tshirts. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, he can do to make Atari a household name again.
The PS4 continues to outsell the XBox 1. There is a lot of speculation as to why, but I would gather that Microsoft's initial missteps and negative press had much to do with it as well as this being the first time Xbox cost more than PlayStation.
The announcement stands to isolate the people who flocked to the Xbone first. At this time Microsoft has not announced any plans to compensate them with anything, not even a few Microsoft bucks. I think that is a bad move. You can't keep flip flopping to appease people who really weren't on board with your product in the first place. What they should do is make the kinect such an integral part of your gaming/entertainment experience that you don't mind the $100 extra. If your selling point was not only do we want gamers, but we want to be an entertainment system, do that. Push the angles you have. Sony pushed hard that they weren't about entertainment and it worked. Xbox has a strong list of games coming, they should have focused there. I think they can recover, but they really need a marketing refresher course. .or just ask Sony. The biggest issue was them trying to step away from the 360...the xbox 1 should have been a continuation of the 360 like the 4 was a continuation of the 3. They played themselves and better hope they can redeem themselves. I think its a solid system, but the flip flopping, lack of exclusives at launch and failure to reward early adopters has turned me off a bit.
Sony did all those things right. Maybe they will be number one for a bit.
So I have been waiting on no end to receive more info abot DA:I. Then came the tweet about the collectors edition. I have to have it. The Mass Effect 3 Collectors edition was worth it to me as I loved the series, and I have much deeper affection for Dragon Age as a series.... (and Alistair).
It's supposed to include this:
A cloth, scale map of Thedas with four map markers, for plotting your inquisition’s course and then sweeping off the table in a rage, for dramatic effect
A quill, inkpot, and journal so you can make your list of heretics and check it twice
A full 72 card tarot deck with artwork depicting Dragon Age mythology, for when you need guidance
A set of lock picks, for breaking into your neighbors’ houses
An Inquisitor’s Badge, to flash at your horrified neighbors
Orlesian coins, to buy them off from calling the cops
The deluxe edition of some video game or other, and a SteelBook case to house it
I am excited to say the least. I will be getting this edition. I know I won't be the only one....
Microsoft is making moves. Attempting to improve the system experience, while trying to increase the experience of Xbox gold. The Xbone is a great system...definitely an entertainment console, but the price did turn off a lot of people. PlayStation not requiring a gold like was a factor for some, who soon were introduced to the PSN. I like both systems, but when it comes to actual network, I have preferred Xbox and their servers. I think this $399 console will increase sales, as many had reservations about the kinect. I personally rarely use it, mostly for dancing games. MassEffect 3 was not an improved experience for me due to kinect controls. That being said, I wonder what Playstation will do to offset these Micrsoft maneuvers. I also feel like Nintendo is in the wings trying to do something, although they may want to stick to handheld consoles for a little bit.
Xbox announced today that Games with Gold is finally coming to Xbox one. That's cool. The real excitement is finally not needing Xbox live to watch Netflix, Prime, Youtube etc. This is a good thing. That starts next month in June.
Currently Dust:an Elysian Tale is the free offering. Its not bad.
Deals with gold should be improved. The discounts should be better.
I think this was a very smart move for Xbox, as long as they maintain the servers as they always have.
There are several guides floating around. This one was emailed to me and seems to be the most comprehensive though I wish I knew where it came from to give credit. It is taking me two playthroughs because I started as a 'good character' and whar good character would marry Lady Grey. So I had to do a second playthrough for a demon door. I found a work around for the key. Fun times. Really. I enjoy the game.
Silver Key Location #1: The first time you leave the guild, look for vines to destroy and you will find a Silver Key.
• Silver Key Location #2: During your first visit to Bowerstone South, enter the first building on your left and go upstairs to find this key.
• Silver Key Location #3: After you buy a fishing rod, you can go back to the Guild and enter the Guild Woods. Find the fishing spot and get a Silver Key.
• Silver Key Location #4: Your first time entering Greatwood Lake, its to the right.
• Silver Key Location #5: Go to the area where you had the Hobbe Killing Contest with Whisper, and fish
• Silver Key Location #6: During your first visit to Fisher Creek, save the fishermen and then fish around the fishing spots behind his house
• Silver Key Location #7: Visit Rose Cottage in Greatwood, and dig in the round flowerbed beside the house.
• Silver Key Location #8: Go to the end of Hobbe Cave where you rescued James and dig.
• Silver Key Location #9: Darkwood Bordello. You have to shoot it down
• Silver Key Location #10: The Ancient Cullis Gate is in Darkwood. Fish.
• Silver Key Location #11 You will need to clear Oakvale’s beach of the Pirate Ghost before you can compete in the Chicken Kicking Competition. 150 points= Silver Key
• Silver Key Location #12: This will be in Twinblade’s Camp
• Silver Key Location #13: Fish near Grey House demon door.
• Silver Key Location #14:Witchwood Stones, look into the water immediately to the left to find the key.
• Silver Key Location #15: As you move on through Witchwood Lake, look for a red statue to the left of the screen. Dig under the statue to find the key.
• Silver Key Location #16: This key is in between the house that you can purchase in Knothole Glade, and the house to the left of it. Go in between the two houses to get this key.
• Silver Key Location #17: Bowerstone Manor in lady Greys Chambers. Get in by becoming mayor of Bowerstone North, or by marrying Lady Grey.
• Silver Key Location #18: Beside the house in Windmill Hill, dig in the patch of dirt to the left of it.
• Silver Key Location #19: Head towards Gibbet Woods, but stop and go towards the windmill. If you go behind the house, you should see a patch of dirt to dig into.
• Silver Key Location #20: You can access to this area only if you fight Thunder for Lady Grey’s hand in marriage. If you do not marry Lady Grey, you cannot get this area to open so here is an alternative. Go to the chest on the cliff in head mans hill. Stand as much to the left as possible.but right next to it.Use your guild seal to teleport anywhere else. Then hit recall. You should be in front of head mans cave. Fish.
• Silver Key Location #21-23: Lynchfield Graveyard has all these. Dig/Fish. Easy to do while assembling the armour.
• Silver Key Location #25:As you get off of the Ship of the Drowned, dig into the grave that is beside the house.
• Silver Key Location #26: Fish by broken bridge next to the Demon Door.
• Silver Key Location #27: Hook Coast Lighthouse in a cabinet
• Silver Key Location #28: Give the Bowerstone teacher 25 different books to obtain this key.
• Silver Key Location #29: After saving the fisherman from bees during your first visit to Fisher Creek, you can visit him later to take part in a fishing competition. If you get second place, you can get rewarded with a silver key.
• Silver Key Location #30: After helping the Ghost Pirate on the beach in Oakvale, he will tell you where his treasure is. Dig under your pops grave.
So there is a Game of Thrones video game, but it sucks. You can't play as any of the main protagonist. In my mind I have all the concepts laid out. I'd want it to be as free world as Skyrim. Character involvement like Dragon Age. Choices..lots of them...perfect scenery. Most importantly I want to pick who I play.
He is my favorite. I love King Robb(may he rest in peace) I would love a game where he can live...fight for the throne. He was well on his way to taking it anyway. I would be thrilled to see him complete the journey and, you know, keep his head.
It would be interesting to play as this nutcase. Could he rise to the task of being king. I do not think so, but it would be interesting to play as him and try.
I loved Ned. He was extremely sensible. I would love to play out what would have happened had he had the chance to find 'The Targaryan Girl'.
Jon Snow. Lord Snow. Royal Bastard. He knows nothing, but he knows a lot. I would love to play as him. Not to make him sit on the throne, but have him rise to command in the nights watch and maybe help his brother or father rise to the iron throne.
The rightful Queen. Mother of Dragons: Dany. She is awesome. With or without the little fire breathing buggers. Playing as her would be absolutely fantastic. Especially if you could command the dragons.
There are many other people it would be worth controlling to make your own world of GoT. Littlefinger, Tywin, Sansa..maybe give her a backbone, Arya..the list goes on. But everyone can't be an option. It'd be col if they gave you a core of 10 to pick from and your dialogue choices effect how some of the support characters react. Like make a proposition to Bolton to make him Lord of Winterfell once you have the throne and see who he kills. It would be an involved game, surely, but so worth it to play out the 'what if' that is experienced every time something disastrous happens on the show or in the books(if you haven't read them, please do).
Are you annoyed as I was looking for the dolls for the teacher? Hopelessly clicking on random traders like 'hey do you have the goods?'
Cool. So lets talk dolls and locations. First, you aren't just going to randomly find the. You have to play some games....in the tavern.
I recovered Briar Rose first. She was in the Bowerstone Pub..played a card game..pairs I believe and got it done in 25 seconds...she is the reward.
I found the Maze Doll where else-Hook Coast. Had to play that Penny game to receive him. Wasn't hard. Just score over 29 I think..that is the lowest I have heard of getting the doll.
You can just buy Thunder. I got him in Bowerstone North but I have heard some people say they found him at the Arena or Barrow Fields.
You can get Whisper at the Oakvale pub. Play Coin golf..easy to get her. 13 strokes.
Scarlet Robe was at Knothole Glade. Played card sorting. Typical timed game..Really easy.
Twinblade..now where on earth would he be...hmmmm not possibly in his camp..no. You probably don't have to play Spot the Addition to get him either.
Scyhe is in Snowspire Village . Coin Golf will get him. 13 strokes.
Those are the quest dolls, but two additional dolls are out there:
YOU!!!!
yes I see you can't contain your excitement.
and your reward for finding all the dolls..the all new stuffed Jack of Blades that literally does not enhance you life in anyway.
Hopefully the locations helped/worked for you because I disliked finding them all.
