Welcome Back Mass Effect

So, after all the drama, stress and crying over your Shepard, Mass Effect is ready to come back. This is awesome right? No. To call a game Mass Effect and not have Shepard involved in any way feels wrong.
Bioware has confirmed ME 4....confirmed that it may not be ME4 but another chapter. They don't want it to feel like a spin-off, but how can anything Mass Effect without Shepard be called anything but a spin-off? I would love to see Joker, Liara, Jacob and everyone else who lived back(I killed Ashley every chance I got)but them with no mention of Shepard is wrong. They'd have to stay from scrap. Pick a planet from the ME universe and start a new story. Maybe something along the lines of the Krogan rebuilding? The Asari? How are the geth and their new friend getting along? Do much they could do. Whatever they do, it better be right.Check it the possible new character below. Also, the movie is a go. Dint screw it up.

More Dragon Age Inquisition

Sadly they have pushed the release date back to mid fall 2014. Its gone from fall 2013, to spring 2014 to this.I hope they aren't banking on people having switched over to the new consoles by then.
Varric is back. That alone has me interested. He was the saving grace in DA2

So we have Varric, frostbite and the war we all knew was coming
We have a rip in the veil which means demons and such can freely leave the fade.
We have a developer team that hasn't confirmed multiplayer but says they love how it worked in Mass Effect 3
We have everyone fighting and ignoring the demons. This is the conflict I previously blogged about.
You can be a mage warrior or rouge as usual.
Much like DA:O, you become a leader rather quickly...but this time you have a lot of people to lead.
You are free to make choices. In DA:O and DA2 you had to go along with certain people to progress the game. This time you have to interact with them, but the choice is yours as to how
Playing as a qunari hasn't totally  been ruled out..they are still tossing the idea around. My thoughts-they will add it. The redesign of the qunari in DA2 made a lot more people interested in them and the power they have is astonishing. I'd like to play as one.

The inquisition organization you lead will grow in strength and power. How it will be showcased is unknown.
Your status/power is how you will gauge your progress. There is no 'checkpoint' like recruited redcliffe soilders or the dalish elves.
They aren't taking away the side missions. Great. I loved a lot of those. I do hope they have some influence on the overall game itself this time around though. The missions you do to gain favor with your party are supposed to be longer and better.
They want to stick to their core of getting people emotionally involved. So I wonder if there will be multiple cameos.
Again. the battles will be amazing...several enemies of different caliber coming at you working as a team and exposing your weakness???You ab;e to make your players strong where you are weak??Yes, this could be fun. The skill tree is still there but there are things each class can do. Warriors can throw a grappler to pull people in. Can't wait to hear what mages can do

Vivienne is a possible companion. Shes an Orlesian mage...who was about to be promoted to first enchanter before things went crazy.
Cassandra will be there?? If you're saying "who" think the lady that was all over Varric for his story in DA2
Both of them will be playable party members.

Weather and time changes. and they actually effect your game play. A rainstorm-muddy area and you may slip and fall...too cloudy enemies can sneak up on you. Sounds interesting
Morrigan is back! But not as a party member..but don't forget her demon baby......

Possibility of Lelianna ...but not sure in what role.
As you build your character and their armor..it will fit them...It will give them their 'look'. I can't wait to see how that goes.
They are working on a way to incorporate your choices in previous games. I think this will involve cloud storage somehow since they want to make it so someone who played DA:O on ps3 could pick up DA:I on Xbox One. Hard job.
Game Informer released these pics today:

It looks like its going to be pretty good...so far

Goodbye Xbox Rewards

Xbox is changing up its rewards system. Since they are moving away from the points and on to USD, that mandates the site we all know and love will change. The new Xbox Rewards should be up and running in September. You should have any points pending already deposited into your account. I hope they bring it back stronger than ever. I appreciated earning those points doing things I normally do.
Oh well. All good things come to an end.

Dragon Age:Inquisition

Of course this game isn't out yet, but it should be big. Very big. Bio ware has a lot to do. They have to make up for Dragon Age 2. They have to get back to the greatness that was Dragon Age: Origins and even Dragon Age:Awakenings. Although I played the game, screw Hawke. That so messed my head up how they went form point A to point J. Anyhow..I'll go off about that mess in a review/rant about it later. Back to inquisition.
For the most part, we know Bioware still has at least a little sense left because Mass Effect 3 was a solid game, apart from the ending fiasco, it was a good solid game and thouroughly enjoyable. The addition of multiplayer made it even better. So should that give us hope for Inquisition to be a great game?

Yes.If they go back to the original formula. One thing BioWare excels at is the party concept. Dialogue choices are pretty good and there is lots of interactions. That can bring you into the story more and make you feel for the character. I will say that the way DA2 was set up I didn't feel too much for those characters. Having pre-scripted interactions didn't help at all. I hope they go back to the way it was in DA:O, you want to talk to a character, then you talk.No waiting for certain points to have options to talk become available. No clicking on them while out in the world to get a silly one line response.

What we know about DA:I so far is this:
You play as the inquisition leader. You are the last man standing from some sort of episode, a possible attack. Obviously the chantry and mages are finally at war(go mages) Orlais is in some kind of civil war, Ferelden is rebuilding adn your templars are away. By your I mean none other than Thedas. We knew it was coming. All this is happening like a decade or so after the events of DA:O I expected Thedas, as Fenris kept bringing it up between broody moments in DA@, so thats no surprise.

They are bringing back races!!This excites me. I like having the option to be a dwarf, an elf or a human. I really hope somehow there is a qunari option. I like the qunari. You also can customize your character and pick their name....goodbye Hawke!

Horses..yes!! Finally. Its supposed to be a big enough world that we can have horses to get around. They have said its not totally open world but big enough to keep us occupied. It better be. And no more recycled environments. Ever.
There will be dragons, several supposedly. Which is good when you know, the game is called dragon age. I didn't get that feel in DA2

The combat system has gotten an upgrade so that tactical players and button pushers alike can be appeased. The bad guys will even have stratigies. Should be way more interesting combat if it lives up to expectations

You can manipulate the environments...build up forts and such. Sounds awesome if I can truly sculpt things how I want them.Make stairs on a stone wall, move a tower, destroy a bridge. I am so curious about the execution of this. If its done right...the possibilities are endless.

Remember how annoying Arl Howe was? Wouldn't it have been great to just attack him and his castle? Well apparently you will be able to do things like that  and much more.

What is unclear is how old saves will play into it. We know it'll be on current and next gen systems so how will my awesome warden play into this Thedas mess? Were my Hawke's actions any good? Lots left unanswered but I'll let you know as I find out. Until then, relive the glory days with DA:O. I love that game

Dishonored

To put it mildly..this game rocks. Its very versatile. You play as Corvo, citizen of Dunwall, the empresses bodyguard...problem is she was just assassinated and her kid kidnapped. Guess who they blame for it??????That;s right..Corvo did it!!!Good news is there are people who know you didn't do it. They assist you in making things right, and looking for the kid and determining the fate of Dunwal...nothing too new here

The graphics are decent. Dunwall really does look like a hopeless place, full of despair and being overrun by plague bearing rats. The corpses lying around add to that plaguey feel. No, that's not a word, but I just made it one. There are plenty of areas to hide in the shadows, kill from cover and explore. There are plenty of characters to interact with, Some of the ones who look the most out of place will give you missions,
Its important to remember that the two main concepts to start are, recover the kid and avenge yourself. How you go about it is up to you. The game makes it really easy to go through entire levels undetected and stealth kill when needed. Depending on the game,I prefer high kill rates. This game satisfies that. You can go through a level and kill everything in , though there is an achievement for minimizing killsl. Its all about how you want to achieve your goal.Tn stealthe rune and bone charm system are great. The powers you can acquire either help you stay in stealth mode or they help you get a million kills. Blink and Swarm are my favorites. Blink teleports you short distances vertically or horizontally so you aren't seen.Swarm calls a group of plague infested rats to devour your enemy. The swarm also eats corpses so you don't get discovered because of that dead body you left laying.  around. The mask Corvo uses to hide his identity is upgradeable and a great tool for distance kills.

I don't have many complaints. The dialogue could be better. More backstory on Corvo and the Empress, though some does come out through DLC. There have been reports of occasional glitches causing the killing of a main target not to register and you can't complete the level. Small stuff, but it doesn't take away from the game much.
I really hate giving away major details of a game but this was probably one of the best thought out plots I've seen in a while. Its common for games to use the rescue the princess theme, but props to them for making it an empress, not a king who was assassinated and some of the methods to kill are fascinating. Drop Assassination is top 5.

The ending comes down to your choices. I don't have a preference. The journey did it for me. 7/10

Welcome to my world

First and foremost, welcome..but let me also say if you are here trying to figure out some gamer talk to impress that guy you like-Fuck You. No really. You would be the reason when I go into Game Stop, Play and Trade or Best Buy to get a game they take a deep breath like 'here we go' and no you can't buy a n xbox game for a ps3. Get the hell off my blog.

Now that we have that out the way lets get it. I'm going to review games...all games..old new coming soon etc etc. Just because you know how great Dragon Age is..there are still people out there who don't know about when Bio-Ware was great.
First up...just because I just had a friend who asked me about the series..Mass Effect Trilogy.
This was by far one of the best trilogies ever made. If you never payed any of the games, put your controller down and slap yourself. People say things like 'oh I hate sci-fi'..well who gives a damn. I didn't say watch Star Trek I said become Shepard bitch! There is no more awesome feeling. I am not going to even touch the ending drama..
Lets start with the original:
This game was pure awesome. I will be honest, it was a little slow going at first, but hey so was Fallout 3 and that games rocks..but that,s for a later time. One thing I love about this game is that you can make your Shepard you. Its not the cookie cutter white guy with blonde hair and blue eyes. Bio-ware is usually pretty good about recognizing that games are like skittles-assorted. So you create your Shep and get to business. Pay attention to the decisions you make. Some are really important..others don't really matter. The game has so much replay value though so its cool if you want to be the goody two shoes paragon your first play through. The graphics are decent, the weapons are pretty dope as well. Some are far better than other. The big thing i they have balanced fighting and storyline pretty well here. Worse part of the game...elevators and the mako....but they don't even take away from the greatness of the game. Seriously I think I'm on my 6th play through. I find something new every time 8/10
